A couple of weeks ago the consensus was the matte nail polish would take over from the glossy polish in the Spring. All this before we found out the Chanel colors for Spring/Summer 2010, which, with a simple over coat will still allow for the scrumptious matte look, thanks to the soft nature of Chanel’s dusky grey, Particuliére, the delicate pink Tenoresse and the warm beige, Inattendu.

At the moment Particuliére appears to be the most popular not just in Calgary. Labeled “The New Jade,” Particulerie has been said to have sold out across Canada in less than a week.

The Valentines weekend was spent scouring the city for the lush romantic colour but to no avail.

Calgary Fashion favourite, stylist and fashion blogger Marian Kihogo would blog the Nail Look for the summer with suggestions of alternatives such as the OPI Over The Taupe color.
