The Mother of All Skin Care

For those of us who love our Americanos rich and our lattes frothy, the same scents and sensibility can be found in the caffeine-based skincare line Sher Bodycare (a.k.a.-  my new morning wake-up and rev-up routine).

Calgarian Cheryl de Champlain started creating her own creamy concoctions when she couldn’t find products to address her ailing skin. Champlain focused first on cleansing, creating an assortment of all-natural soaps, and filled out her skincare regime with scrubs and sumptuous lotions.

Scent and skin firmness aside, I’m especially fond of the scrub’s versatility in making my whole body smooth.  Instead of being bogged down in heavy oils, the dry granules can be used from your face to your feet without the worry of clogging pores. Hands, elbows, knees (or toes), use the grains fresh from the jar or mix the scrub with a dollop of the Coffee Mocha shower gel for the perfect 2-in-1 cleanser and exfoliant. If you take a gentle touch and make small, circular motions, Champlain assures me the scrub is safe on the face. One step better: I make sure I give my lips a buff and, sure enough, they were the perfect, smooth base for my favourite winter lipstick.

Though caffeine can be found in a multitude of skincare products these days, it’s Champlain’s holistic approach to the power of scent and the importance of natural ingredients that will keep me reaching for my daily dose of her Coffee Mocha products.
